Title I Compacts, Policies & Surveys

Georgia Parent Survey

All parents are encouraged to complete the “Georgia Parent Survey,” regarding the climate of their child’s school.

School climate refers to the quality and character of school life as it relates to norms and values, interpersonal relations and social interactions, and organizational processes and structures. School climate sets the tone for all the learning and teaching done in the school environment and it is predictive of students’ ability to learn and develop in healthy ways.

Parents can go to http://apps.gadoe.org/schoolclimate/parents.nsf/Survey.xsp between Monday, November 3, 2014 and Friday, February 27, 2015 to complete a 24-question survey. Responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education.

If you wish to complete this survey but do not have internet access, you may complete the survey at the school.

From the Principal

Welcome to the best elementary school in Richmond County! The faculty and staff of the school work hard to provide a rigorous educational environment for your child - we also strive to maintain a safe and orderly campus.

Students cannot enter the building prior to 7:45. Only buses, vans and SPED students enter in the front - all car-rides must enter through the car circle line. We will have someone in the circle area until 8:30.

In the afternoon, my priority is to make sure that all students are dismissed in an orderly, safe manner. Because the front office can become quite hectic in the afternoon, students will not be dismissed through the front office between 2:45 and 3:30.Parents will be directed to the car line between 2:45 & 3:30. Please adhere to this procedure to make sure that all students get home safely.

I would like to invite you to become involved in our school - there are many opportunities for parental involvement, such as joining the PTA. Please call our Parent Facilitator (Ms. Danese Holloway) to see how you can be a part of the A. Brian Merry family.
